The heart of The Bekele Boutique. Bekele Nutrition was seeded in 2015 at Toomer Elementary with the support of Communities In Schools (CIS). Quickly sprouting, educating at community festivals, and summer camps to teach E.A.T. (exposure, awareness, taste) for young minds and their families. We look forward to our next venture for BN with our community and private classes for our scholars.

BekeleNutrition Education exposes young minds to nutritional facts, taste, food production and a lifestyle that broaden children's perspectives and gives them the tools they need to make the right choices for themselves. This, leads to them encouraging and creating discussions with their friends and families; spreading awareness and creating smart choices for health.

Incorporating  varies food varieties and combinations,farming/agriculture, culinary events and community involvement. BekeleNutrition Education is reestablishing the the foundation of health to the youth so it will plant new seeds, nourish and grow for generations to come; changing the future for Nutritional Education and overall health.

BN E.A.T. EVENTS

Exposure, Awareness and Taste are the key factors in educating and changing our under-served communities and food deserts. In the spring of 2017, This community event hosted by Playworks was a magical day. Live food demonstration with fresh picked greens, herbs and onions from Urban Sprout Farms. Organic snacks introducing allergy healing foods, nutritional information and lots of happy bellies and ears.

I was so excited by all the questions and eager bellies waiting on the live demos to be done; everything went so fast!

Summer 2016 BN Partnered with Back on Track Kids, BekeleNutriton worked with different age groups and city camps to explore unknown foods, create a dialogue about why foods benefit us as students, athletes and smart active children. While also discovering gardens right in their own backyards...

In 2015 BekeleNutrition kicked off its intro to the healthy eating and education world with this fun October pumpkin fest at Urban Sprout Farms where we ate healthy snack, carved pumpkins, did yoga, played fun games, live music, a farm tour, had nutritional information for parents, tips for their children and much more...
